Emergency
Contraception Pills
The
clinic supplies Plan B, an emergency contraceptive pill that can
be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse to prevent
pregnancy. Plan B is one pill taken as soon as possible and another
pill taken 12 hours later. It is about 89% effective in preventing
pregnancy if taken as directed. Clients can call the clinic and
a prescription can be picked up at the clinic or the pharmacy.
HIV
testing and Counseling
Anonymous HIV testing and counseling is available. Oral HIV testing
with ORASURE (not a needle) is available, and results return in
seven (7) days. A program is available for in-depth counseling for
Latinos at risk for HIV infections.
Cost
Many
people qualify for free family planning services. The
Family Planning program can offer free and low cost
services because of funding. The program covers all family planning related services on a sliding scale. We also accept Medi-Cal.
